Presto is Kornit’s flagship machine, supplying hundreds of units to Amazon’s DTG production farms. A Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer, the Atlas machines awaken to incredible capacities during sports events such as the superbowl, NFL and NBA leagues. While the Atlas is highly advanced technologically, it posed a greater challenge in the design process due to the fact that the typical operator is a “seasonal” worker, lacking the experience and personal dedication. This dissonance led us to develop the design with a high differentiation in accesses and job management, characteristics reflected both in the physical and the UX-UI design.
