OB Tools – Supporting Freedom of Movement During Labor
OB Tools develops medical devices designed to improve the childbirth experience for both women and medical staff. This 2nd generation product is a wearable monitoring system with two rechargeable transmitters, used one at a time and attached to an abdominal embrace worn by the pregnant or laboring woman. The system transmits fetal monitoring data to a central unit and directly to the hospital’s monitoring system.
Throughout the project, our team worked closely with OB Tools to shape a clear and reliable User Experience for both the pregnant woman and the medical staff - addressing the design and definition of the physical device alongside the virtual interface. The system was designed to support comfort, clarity, and freedom of movement for the woman, while providing medical teams with a straightforward, dependable monitoring experience.
This device is designed for hospital/clinic installations as well as a home-based solution.

One-Hand Strapping Technique: Push and Pull forces counteracting one against the other
Following brain or muscle injury, some patients retain function on only one side of their body. Our one-hand strapping technique uses the Electric Unit as a fixed anchor point, enabling users to independently attach the device to the same precise location each time—with just one hand.
